Return to XML Query Processing I but the results are applicable to many other systems supporting dynamic XML data. Starting from a data model and a query language, we describe a complete framework for distributed and replicated dynamic XML documents. We provide a comprehensive cost model for query evaluation and show how it applies to user queries and service calls. Finally, we describe an algorithm that, for a given peer, chooses data and services that the peer should replicate to improve the efficiency of maintaining and querying its dynamic data. @inproceedings {DBLP:conf/sigmod/AbiteboulBCMM03, author = {Serge Abiteboul and Angela Bonifati and Gregory Cobena and Ioana Manolescu and Tova Milo}, booktitle = {SIGMOD Conference}, title = {Dynamic XML documents with distribution and replication.}, pages = {527-538}, year = {2003}, url = {db/conf/sigmod/sigmod2003.html#AbiteboulBCMM03}, ee = {http://www.acm.org/sigmod/sigmod03/eproceedings/papers/r19p02.pdf}, crossref = {conf/sigmod/2003}, bibsource = {DBLP, http://dblp.uni-trier.de} } ![]() ©2004 Association for Computing Machinery |
