Return to Data Warehouses In this paper we propose a methodology for distributing data warehouses, which is based on the concepts of derivation graph (lattice framework), propagation of fragmented dimensions and aggregation reconstruction, and in the presence of a global data warehouse. The proposed methodology serves as a basis for the WebD 2 W (Web Distributed Data Warehousing) system. We also point out advantages that motivate the data distribution and identify a set of criteria related to data fragmentation and replication processes to be applied in the distributed data warehouse design.
