The SBES groups activities techniques that evidence the state of the area of Engineering of Software. The current thematic areas of the SBES are: Industrial applications of the Engineering of Software; Social Aspects of the Engineering of Software; Engineering of Software Based on Components; Engineering of Requirements; Formal Specification; Theoretical Beddings of the Engineering of Software; Refinement, Validation and Verification of Software; Methods, Techniques, Languages and Tools of the Engineering of Software; Maintenance of Software; Process of Modeling of Software; Engineering of Software for the World Wide Web; Quality of Software reengineering de Software; Reuse of Software Development of Tools CSCW

Programation

The general programming of the SBES prepared for its Committee of Program. This follows a model that comes being successful h years, with the gradual introduction of new activities. For 2000 the following activities had been selected:  technic sessions;  invited lectures;  courses;  companies lectures.   Moreover also a parallel programming to the event will occur.

Technics Sessions

Presentation of the works submitted and accepted for the Committee of Program of the symposium. These works present original contributions to the state of the art in Engineering of Software. For the second time, the symposium to count on a session international technique where the submitted works will be written and presented in English. The number of accepted works to depend on the quality of the submitted works. The lectures techniques will have duration of 30 minutes approximately.

Invited Lectures

Presentation on a current and excellent subject inside of the thematic one of the event, made for guests special. The masters invited are people of recognized intellectual authority and of proven accomplishments in its areas of performance, typically professors doctors of important institutions of Brazil and the exterior. Each lecture to have duration of 1 hour. For 2000 if it foresees the participation of an invited palestrante and already the participation of two international masters is certain that are famous researchers in the area. Companies Lectures

The technology of the information has tried amazing advances over all in the last times. This true one in such a way in the national scene as international. Several so the areas of the Computer science that have modified day-by-day of our lives. Of this mode with intention to promote the integration of the members of the some centers of research in data base of the country and the exterior with the companies who develop technology of the information, we are bringing to the SBBD'2000 some companies of national and international reputation to carry through lectures. Already the following companies are confirmed: Microsoft; Stern Software; Logic Way; Oracle; Lucent Technologies.

Parallel Programing

In parallel to the SBES'2000 they will also occur: Session of Tools    As already it occurs to some years, one of the activities of XIV the SBES to be the Session of Tools, whose objective to divulge tools for developed Engineering of Software in our universities, companies or centers of research. VII Workshop on Quality of Software - WQS'2000    The Workshop of the Quality of Software (WQS) has as objective to congregate entrepreneurs, professionals, professors, researchers and students of diverse areas, interested in relative questions the quality of software, in an event of spreading and confraternization. WQS now if became a tradition in the days that precede the Brazilian Symposium of Engineering of Software (SBES), being the seventh consecutive time of joint accomplishment. III Workshop on Formal Methods - WMF'2000    Following the example of the WMF'98 (Porto Alegre, RS - Brazil) and the WMF'99 (Florianópolis, SC - Brazil), to be carried through in set with the SBES the WMF'2000. This to provide an excellent chance for researchers with interest in formal methods argues the most recent innovations in the area of Formal Methods. Workshop on Theses in Software Engineering - WTES'2000    The Workshop has as objective to allow that the after-graduation pupils present its theses of Doctored and dissertations of master degrees for all the Brazilian scientific community of Engineering of Software.
