Return to Next-Gen Open Hypermedia, Part Two In this paper, we introduce a platform independent mechanism for implementing both XLink and bespoke linking standards. The paper considers HTML linking as a low-level linking language, and how it can be used to provide a base for high-level linking services. Finally, the paper describes Goate, a HTTP proxy that allows high-level linking to be used with ordinary HTML browsers. ![]() DiSC'03 © 2003 Association for Computing Machinery |
