also show that the system performs well enough to be used in real world applications. For ease of deployment, we have written the system in Java to run as a DB2 client application. In general, our implementation requires only JDBC and SQL-92 support from the underlying database engine. Our demonstration illustrates the minimal effect that watermarking has on the data, and shows that a watermark can be detected using only a subset of the marked attributes and a subset of the tuples of a watermarked relation.
