David DeWitt 1995 SIGMOD Edgar F. Codd Innovations Award

David DeWitt received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Michigan in 1976. Since then he has been on the faculty of the University of Wisconsin where he currently holds the rank of Professor and Romnes Fellow. His long term research interests include parallel database systems, object-oriented database systems, and database system performance.
