This is the third edition of the ACM SIGMOD Digital Symposium Collection, DiSC, the most comprehensive yearly publication of database research. This year we include the proceedings of 14 conferences, including SIGMOD, PODS, VLDB and ICDE, and the full contents of 6 journals, including the 2000 volumes of SIGMOD Record, of TODS, and of the VLDB Journal. We also feature the videos of the SIGMOD plenary talks by Don Haderle and Vinod Khosla. In this issue of DiSC, there are 4,000 HTML documents, 1,158 PDF files, 2,400 image files, and over 18,000 links. To assemble this large, heterogeneous, and distributed multimedia data, we used PANDA -- A Publishing Assistant for Networked Document Assembly -- developed in the ADVIS Lab. All the information presented in DiSC '01 was extracted, transformed, "data cleaned", and finally integrated in a single XML format using PANDA.
