Abstract

The research proposed in this paper introduces a qualitative approach whose objective is to identify a computational representation of terrain features. The model developed is derived from the horizon and the forms that materialise the frontier between Earth and the sky. This frontier is represented as a silhouette and modelled as a sequence of constituent landforms.
