The ACM SIGMOD publication mechanism has had a major update recently. In contrast to the earlier mechanism of the ACM SIGMOD papers being published in the Proceedings of the ACM SIGMOD on Management of Data, since 2023, papers submitted to SIGMOD are, on acceptance, published in the newly created journal Proceeding of the ACM on Management of Data (PACMMOD), and invited for presentation at the SIGMOD conference. Since 2024, ACM PODS submissions are, on acceptance, published in PACMMOD instead of the Proceedings of the ACM PODS. PACMMOD issues are correspondingly tagged as SIGMOD or PODS issues.
